What happens to a pregnant woman’s body in 20 seconds
As the little one grows inside you your body transforms and you see it very well from the outside. But what happens inside you? How does your body rearrange to give your little one space?
An interactive tool developed by the Chicago Museum of Science and Industry allows you to visualize not only how the baby bump grows but also what happens to the mother’s internal organs, which inevitably have to be moved a bit to make room to the uterus and then to the growing baby.
Body changes in pregnancy
The pregnant woman’s body does not undergo a metamorphosis but the changes are evident and all (for better or worse) are reversible (apart from stretch marks that hardly go away).
Sometimes there is even a little bacon left but if you breastfeed , follow a correct lifestyle made up of even moderate physical movement and a balanced diet, you will return to the same shape as before.
Isn’t everything wonderfully beautiful? The complexity of life always fascinates!
