Toning the body after pregnancy: exercises to get back in shape

Getting back in shape after pregnancy is one of the goals of many new mothers who want to regain the tone that was lost over the 9 months.

Don’t rush, give your body time to recover from the labors of childbirth, do postpartum gynecological checks . Gynecological check-up is recommended about one month after natural birth.

In the meantime, dedicate yourself to healthy walks with your child.

Daily walks and breastfeeding can get you back in shape sooner than you can imagine.

Exercises after pregnancy

Before undertaking these exercises, it is recommended to seek the consent of your midwife or gynecologist. It is also essential to choose the level of exercises suitable for your level of training.

Choose an adequate space, without dangers, well ventilated and wearing suitable and comfortable clothing.

Hydrate yourself before and during workouts.

Dedicate the right amount of time both to warming up before starting the exercises and to the post-workout relaxation phase to avoid soreness or muscle problems.

Stop exercising if you notice nausea, dizziness, headaches, or other strange symptoms.

All “do-it-yourself” exercises performed without the supervision of an instructor require acceptance of the warnings listed at the beginning of each video .

Team up

This is advice that applies to any person who wants to start exercising.

Do you have a friend who is also a mother for a few months? Start doing a training journey together, maybe find yourself at one of your home and do the exercises together. Or support yourself through the groups or forums you join. Make sure you encourage and support each other.
