Third month of pregnancy for dad
The third month of pregnancy should be the last of the worries and great tiredness. From the second month you are already doing your utmost to lend a hand to your partner and it is absolutely essential to continue.
Her nausea will pass with the completion of this month, hopefully, so continue to respect her food and smell needs . Instead, her belly will appear, just barely, because the uterus is gradually enlarging.
She will start to gain weight: unfortunately, in these years weight gain is often a problem for women, even when they know it is the normal course of pregnancy. So avoid, if you see that it is the case, to talk about weight, gaining weight, a rounder face or a visible belly. She might like an elegant appreciation of her more generous cleavage!
How the baby grows
The baby, although still very small (8-11 millimeters), is growing and during the ultrasound you will be able to see the heart beating! Think of what amazing luck we have to be able to observe such a small but so “alive” life (ultrasounds have only been around for tens of years!).
At the end of the month, the fetus already looks like a fully formed baby, so much so that we can distinguish the mouth that knows how to make faces (and we like to think they are smiles, but who knows). This makes you realize how fast it grows: it goes from 10 millimeters to 50 millimeters, 5 times bigger in just 4 weeks!
Remind the mother that the placenta does not filter caffeine and alcohol , therefore it is necessary to moderate the intake of these substances and it is better to avoid alcohol completely. The same goes for some types of medicines that should always be taken during pregnancy only on the advice of the doctor.
No official communications
It’s not yet the time to give official announcements about the pregnancy in progress, wait for the end of this month, when the critical phase has passed.
