9 of the best bottles for babies

We have prepared a list of the most awarded and / or best-selling and appreciated bottles currently on the market.

Whether you breastfeed or not, when a newborn arrives at home you usually never miss a bottle. And this for various and obvious reasons.
For example, if a mother uses a breast pump, what is the best bottle to use to make the breast-teat transition less traumatic? If you switch to bottle-feeding, what is the bottle that makes breastfeeding easier and prevents colic more? Which one washes better? Which is the most practical?

Choosing is never easy even when it comes to bottles which, if you think about it, would seem like a simple thing to buy. What differences do you want there to be between one bottle and another? Alas, there are many, and probably experimenting is the best way to find the one that suits our needs, but especially those of the child.

Mimicry

Winner of several design awards, Mimijumi is produced in Austria by a company with high standards of cleanliness. BPA and phthalate-free materials are used. The bottle is Grilamid®, a very resistant and safe package produced in Switzerland. The nipple and base are made of silicone for medical and food use.

Tommee Tippee Closer to Nature

Tommee Tippee’s Closer to Nature bottles have a uniquely shaped silicone teat, which tries to mimic the mother’s breast. The slow flow and ultra-sensitive valve minimize air ingestion.

Philips Avent Natural Bottle

Philips Avent Biberon Natural is one of the most successful bottles of recent years and with an excellent value for money (about 10 euros).

It is characterized by a teat with the innovative petal-shaped design that allows the baby to attach as he would with the breast. It is equipped with a double valve to reduce the risk of colic.

Calm of Medela

Medela is a well-known and renowned brand for its breast pumps. He could therefore only design a bottle that tried to mirror as much as possible the method of sucking from the mother’s breast.

The teat is longer and flatter and requires babies to use the same sucking motion they use when breastfeeding in order to create a vacuum to release the milk. Both in breastfeeding and with Calma, the milk flows out if the baby applies the vacuum and as happens in breastfeeding, as soon as the baby takes a break, the flow of milk stops.

Mam anti-colic bottle

The MAM anti-colic bottle is specially designed for newborns. the main features are:

  • teat is made of SkinSoft silicone for a feeling of comfort
  • base with vent  to reduce colic and regurgitation.
  • Wide openings for easy filling and cleaning
  •  special self-sterilizing function, ideal for on the go (3 minutes in the microwave is enough)

Comotome

Comotomo is one of the few if not the only bottle on the market to have a flexible bottle that can be squeezed. And it thus differs completely from all the others that have the glass or hard plastic bottle.

Even the touch sensation has been specially designed to remember the touch on the skin, to imitate the mother’s breast as much as possible.

It does not contain BPA and other toxic substances, silicone is a medical type. It is equipped with double anticolic valve.

Chicco Natural Feeling

Chicco Natural Feeling has 3 different teats with specific shapes depending on the age of the child (0m+, 4m+, 6m+). They have in fact been studied according to the different ability to suck the baby that changes with age. The tilted teat you see in the image is suitable for newborns and then get to the elongated one suitable for older children:

Two anticolic valves and the teat is made of soft silicone.

Adiri ONE

I bet you’ve never seen a bottle like it!

In fact, it doesn’t even look like a bottle 🙂

Adiri allows you to set in a single bottle three different flows of milk choosing between 0-6 months, 6-12 months and 12-18 months simply by adjusting the knob.

BPA-free, it is easy to clean, because the base detaches completely.

Air and bubbles are eliminated thanks to a special system of patented internal valves.

Yoomi

Even a bottle can be hi-tech and this is the case with Yoomi.

As you know, bottle milk should not be heated in the microwave because it would not have a homogeneous temperature and the baby would risk getting burned.

Obtaining an optimal temperature with Yoomi is achieved thanks to a special cap that allows the milk to be heated to the correct temperature in just 60 seconds.

To heat the milk, the mechanism is heated (which has no batteries or anything else) and once applied to the bottle, it will bring it to the optimal temperature in 60 seconds:

Here you can find a video explaining how it works, it’s easier to see than explain

Which one wins?

No one, to give the vote in the end is personal experience. There are those who try 10 before finding the child’s favorite one! So bring your experience to share with us which bottles you have been best with, among them or others you have adopted.
