Recipe books that cannot be missing in the kitchen
Do you love to cook and are you looking for recipe books to keep in the kitchen and consult whenever you need them? From the classic ones to the latest news, here are the most beautiful volumes, to give as a gift or to treat yourself.
Cooking has now become the passion of many women and also of many men, so much so that it is almost impossible to find a house where there is not at least one or more recipe books in the kitchen. Although recipes of all types can also be found online, having a cookbook to browse and consult has become a rather common habit.
The recipe books then, containing valuable information, suggestions and advice, are of great help not only for novice chefs, but also for people who love to cook as a hobby and true passion.
Recipe books to give and treat yourself
Some time ago I published here on Fertile Period a list of some interesting cookbooks for children to meet all those parents who, due to lack of experience, time or imagination, needed a guide to cook quick and easy dishes for their their little ones.
Today, however, I would like to point out some recipe books to give away or to treat yourself that cannot be missing in the kitchen. They are all so much more than just a cookbook of recipes. They are all beautiful and useful volumes and well known, therefore particularly suitable as a gift idea.
You will immediately recognize the volumes both by the title and by the well-established chefs/authors who wrote them. All offer detailed cooking recipes aimed at both beginners and those with a little more experience.
1. Together in the kitchen, by Benedetta Rossi
Let’s start with the darling of “homemade recipes”: Benedetta Rossi! His Together in the kitchen is confirmed as one of the best-selling cookbooks. Always looking for new flavors and combinations, her recipes start from ingredients that we all have at home to combine taste with practicality.
Incomparable in making a recipe within everyone’s reach and in giving the right suggestions for every occasion, in this book Benedetta offers good and simple dishes, alternative presentations of dishes and comfortable and quick-to-make recipes.
2. Salvacena recipes, by Benedetta Parodi
Another Benedetta who is very famous in the kitchen is Mrs. Parodi who, with her latest book The dinner-saving recipes, offers over 150 recipes to be prepared in a quarter of an hour or so. In fact, the book focuses heavily on simplicity and is particularly suitable and easily understandable even for those who are beginners with the kitchen.
The book is divided into six chapters: Appetizers-First Courses-Second Courses-Vegetarian Dishes-Desserts and Baked Desserts.
3. The Silver Spoon
The Cucchiaio d’Argento is a classic among Italian cookbooks and is also considered by many to be the most authoritative. This volume, a special edition for its 70th anniversary since its release, contains 2000 recipes ranging from the most classic to the most contemporary dishes. In short, it is a valuable volume that is particularly suitable as a gift for all lovers of good food.
The vegetarian recipe version is also interesting.
4. Yellow saffron My best recipes, by Sonia Peronaci
There are his favorite recipes, his workhorses, a dozen “unsuspected” dishes to amaze, many ideas to arouse wonder and to prepare espresso dishes (but to scream), those that you just can’t not cook once in a lifetime , the most sought after by users and the ones that will drive your children crazy, as well as many cooking secrets to learn.
5. Put your heart into it, by Antonino Cannavacciuolo
For those who are passionate about cooking, Put your heart into it is another excellent book to buy and to keep in the kitchen. The volume presents 50 recipes for making both simple and traditional dishes as well as more particular and refined ones, with which to amaze guests, all enriched by the chef’s personal touch.
The Book is divided into appetizers, first courses, main courses and desserts.
6. A little sweeter, by Damiano Carrara
For those who love cooking desserts, I recommend the book Un po’ più dolce by Damiano Carrara, internationally renowned chef and judge of Bake Off.
This latest volume of his, much appreciated by female readers, is divided into two large chapters:
- the first where there are the basics of pastry, therefore creams, whipped masses, basic doughs and in-depth pages;
- the second where you can find the recipes for many desserts and preparations divided by difficulty: simple, creative, surprising desserts.
In both chapters the preparations are illustrated by clear and well-made photos and the explanations are understandable to all. The book is therefore useful both for beginners and for those who want to refine the technique or test themselves with some more complex preparation.
7. Fertility recipes
Among the cookbooks that I recommend, I could not fail to mention the “ Recipes of Fertility ” a volume born thanks to the collaboration between Elena Crestanello , physiopathologist biologist and owner of conceivecorner.com with Cecilia Verga Falzacappa , nutritionist biologist and Natalia Cattelani, that many of you will know for his permanent presence in “La Prova del Cuoco”.
Fertility Recipes is a book particularly suitable for women who are trying to get pregnant. In fact, the volume contains a lot of useful information to understand one’s fertile period, to understand the link between nutrition and hormones and the role of the main nutrients on fertility and offers many delicious and healthy recipes by Natalia Cattelani that can be of help for general health and reproductive of women.
8. My recipes, cookbook to fill out
Finally, I can’t help but suggest that you give or give yourself a cookbook to fill out. There are many on the market but I liked this one. It’s called My Recipes and it’s a blank book to be filled with your favorite recipes seen or heard simple. It is easy to use and above all practical and functional for organizing all your recipes in one place.
The recipe pages have lined sections for writing ingredients, difficulty, rating, cook time, notes, and so much more.
This is the selection that I have proposed to you today of recipe books to give as gifts or treat yourself , but if you want to learn more you will find many other beautiful cookbooks that also focus on a single topic such as an ingredient, cooking technique or a particular type of dish.
