Pregnancy app: how iMamma works
How many days after intercourse can you take a pregnancy test?
One of the questions an expectant mother asks herself when she is trying to have a baby is when is the right time to take a pregnancy test.
The pregnancy test cannot be done on the day of intercourse or in the first few days thereafter. The test can be carried out starting from the fourth-fifth day of delay for those with an irregular cycle. On the other hand, those who have a regular cycle of 28 days can do it from the first day of delay.
In an increasingly smart world, having all the information immediately is essential, even when it comes to pregnancy and fertility. The result of the pregnancy test, whether it is positive or negative, leads the woman to new awareness. In case of a negative outcome, but still with a great desire to have a child, we advise you to monitor your most fertile days for conception. If the test is positive instead, congratulations! Now begins a great adventure that will need guidance and support for the whole family.
For this there is the iMamma app, designed specifically for women looking for a pregnancy and for expectant mothers.
iMamma is an application that you can download for free on your smartphone and which allows you to monitor the fertile period, the progress of the pregnancy (even twins!) and the postpartum period.
Developed in collaboration with internationally qualified medical specialists belonging to important scientific societies, iMamma accompanies women on the wonderful journey of motherhood.
iMom what’s in the app
Navigation within the app is very simple and intuitive and is divided into three categories: fertility, pregnancy, postpartum. The app does not replace the doctor, but it certainly keeps the woman or future mother updated on what happens during the fertile period, pregnancy and postpartum, providing ad hoc content for each moment and giving the possibility to interact within a community made up of other women and mothers.
Fertility mom
Within the section dedicated to fertility it is possible to:
- monitor the menstrual cycle and consequently know which are the fertile days for conception
- have information on fertility and conception through dedicated articles
- record your sexual intercourse, symptoms and moods within the calendar
- access a shopping area dedicated to specific products
- chat with the community, interacting with other moms
From fertility mode , you can then change the route within the app by recording successful fertilization and then switching to pregnancy mode .
iMom pregnancy
In this way, the app automatically personalises itself, providing the expectant mother with all the information necessary to live the nine months of pregnancy together.
Once the switch to this mode has been made, the app asks the user to enter the last date of menstruation and, if the expectant mother knows it, also the date of conception. Once the data has been entered, iMamma immediately calculates the expected date of delivery, which can then be modified based on the recalculation that the gynecologist could do or insert the scheduled date of delivery in the event of a cesarean.
In this category dedicated to pregnancy, iMamma offers:
- detailed information for each week of pregnancy through texts and videos
- 3D images of the fetus that change as the pregnancy progresses
- Video training course
- Fitness video course
- editorial content related to topics such as nutrition, exams, false myths about pregnancy, childbirth, sex, vaccines during pregnancy, etc…
- intercourse recording, symptoms, moods, blood pressure, daily hydration, body weight, pregnancy exams, contractions, personal data
- access to the iMamma Community
- a collection of photo and ultrasound albums that the expectant mother can upload to the app
- personalized postcard
- Count kicks
- “Big how” to effectively understand the measures of the fetus by comparing it with the measures of some foods
- Suitcase for shopping
- Questions and answers
- Personalized information texts for twins
The app also allows the mother to have all the information for a twin birth. In fact, by changing the pregnancy settings, it is possible to choose the type of pregnancy between single , homozygous or heterozygous . You can also enter the gender of the child by choosing from the three options I don’t know , male , female .
Postpartum mom
The last function available in the iMamma app is dedicated to postpartum. Here it is possible to record the menstrual cycle again, enter a new pregnancy (and then go back to the above procedure) or, by registering, review the history of pregnancies.
Within the postpartum category you always have information with specific articles, such as: postpartum depression, the head of the department, contraception, breastfeeding, the first days with the baby. It could be defined as a sort of “instruction manual” for new parents.
In fact, it is important not to leave the new parents alone, but to follow them even after the birth of the baby and in this respect the app fully meets the needs of mum and dad.
In the postpartum function, we also find in the app:
- a personalized bulletin board
- dedicated shopping selection
- Questions and answers
- calendar to record events and menstrual cycle
- community for new mothers
iMamma is certainly a very useful application for all women and mothers.
