Pregnancy

Nice ideas to document your pregnancy: diaries, photos, videos and much more!

If you are expecting a baby, you must document the nine months of pregnancy in some way . Re-reading what has been written, looking at the photos or videos taken… it’s priceless both for us and for the children to be born. I don’t know how many times my children have looked at my pregnancy photos, and since Veronica learned to read, I often find her in her room rereading what I wrote to her when she was still in her belly.

You don’t need to be who knows how creative or good at photography. Just try it and you will see that beautiful memories will arise. Some idea? here are some:

The diary is one of the most personal and immediate ways. When you discover that you are pregnant, buy yourself an agenda and jot down everything that happens, how you feel, how you are changing, your emotions when you hear it move for the first time, the photos… in short, a real logbook. Nice to look at but also to compare with any other pregnancies.

Of course there are many digital methods to do it but believe me, leafing through the paper and reading the sentences written in mother’s handwriting is definitely better for your children and certainly much more personal. And someone who would only live on technology tells you 😉 But I’m still the old-fashioned way in these things!

If you are creative, you can also create a   scrapbook: with photos, clippings and handwritten lettering, here’s what can be created:

If you don’t feel able to make one completely yourself, there are some nice ones on the market where you simply write and paste the photos, such as My Pregnancy :

In addition to various forms of journaling, there are other ways to document your pregnancy such as  writing a letter to your baby . For mothers who are always on the move and hyper-technological, every week or whenever you feel like it, you can send an email to a mailbox created specifically for your little one and which it will read once it grows up 🙂

One of the most popular methods to tell about pregnancy remains that of photos . Surely the diffusion of smartphones helps a lot. Instagram,   for example, is a simple and immediate way to capture every moment of pregnancy in a creative way. Not just one photo per week but also many shots in the most exciting moments.

Very widespread is the tendency to photograph the mother week after week always in the same position , in profile, to create a sequence of images that highlight the growth of the baby bump. Also the Conceivecorner app allows you to take a photo a week helping in the correct placement of the mother through a guideline , in order to create a gallery and a small video in which you can see how the baby bump grows over time.

There are so many ways however to create creative photos. For example, there is also a widespread tendency to photograph yourself with something next to it that gives an idea of how big the belly is or that documents exactly the gestation period with nice stickers . You’ve never seen them before, right?

If you need a slightly bulkier and more realistic keepsake,  there is also the possibility of having your belly cast . On the market there are kits to make the plaster cast all at home in peace. And if you want you can decorate it to your liking:

For the many mothers who are counting down to the day of childbirth, the following one is a real must-have. There are pre-packaged ones or you can make your own by following this tutorial

These are the cutest ideas I’ve found but if you have other suggestions, write and document them in the comments, please!
