Easy Halloween jobs to do with children
There is little to say, although Halloween is not a holiday born here, it has become part of our habits for years. Children really wait for it with trepidation and every year they can’t wait to give vent to all their creativity by preparing many Halloween jobs. Do not snub the occasion.
The days before Halloween in fact, can become an important time to be together and dedicating some of our time to manual activities to do with children is always a good thing.
In this case, a little imagination and a few materials will be enough to involve children in stimulating Halloween jobs such as coloring and cutting out shapes or monstrous masks, preparing bright pumpkins, candy baskets, decorations to hang on the windows. If you need inspiration here are some original ideas!
Halloween jobs to do with children
Halloween lanterns
On Halloween you can not miss the bright pumpkin to put outside the house. Creating the lantern with a real pumpkin, however, is a demanding job, which requires time, patience and above all a real pumpkin. Here then is an easy, fast and not dirty job to do with children: using a shoebox and a little orange tissue paper you can build a fake bright pumpkin in a few minutes and without getting your hands dirty.
Halloween candy baskets
Trick or treat? Here’s how kids have fun on Halloween night. And how to prepare the gift basket? But with the bottoms of plastic bottles of course! With a pair of scissors, a little glue and paper you can create nice … ehm monstrous baskets for Halloween.
Paper Witches
Do you have some paper at home? Well! A creative and fun job is definitely to create many scary characters with a few sheets of newspaper or colored paper. For example, by creating paper cones, children can build evil witches with hats and brooms. Tutorial here → paper witches
Frankenstein… to eat
Halloween treats? No thanks, better fruit: here is a nice and healthy alternative to sweets and sugar! Prepare transparent bags, put a green apple inside, close the envelope and with a marker have the children draw the face of Frankenstein, Hulk or some other green monster directly on the envelope. Papier-mâché ghosts
Messing with papier-mâché is an activity that children really like. So how about preparing ghosts to put under glass?
Masks with leaves
Would you have ever thought that with the leaves you can create original masks? Yes! Have fun looking for beautiful big leaves and try to gently color the leaf in order to create eyes, mouth, nose and everything you can think of to create monsters and Halloween characters. Have you ever thought that with leaves you can create original masks?
Halloween silhouettes and drawings
Finally, if you don’t have time to do too demanding chores for Halloween, the drawings with Halloween images to print can be a solution. Children will have fun coloring monstrous faces and masks, cutting out bats, skulls, pumpkins, ghosts, black cats and all the Halloween silhouettes. They can then create nice decorations or attach the shapes to the window panes.
Found the right idea? Well, now you have plenty of time to look for materials and get to work with the children.
Good fun!
