DIY houses for children: 10 fantastic ideas to build in the garden

Having a little house in the garden where you can go to play, read or even just hide away, I think is one of the greatest wishes of children.

If you are lucky enough to have a garden or even just a small outdoor corner to be transformed into a play area , and you want to give your little ones a nice little house, this is the best time to start getting organised.

The first thing to do is decide whether to buy a ready-made garden shed (in wood or plastic), or whether to  create a do-it-yourself house.
Certainly the first solution is the quickest but also the most expensive and least creative.

The do-it-yourself solution , on the other hand, is certainly the most demanding, but also the one that will give you the most satisfaction. Designing a small house together with the children, involving them in its construction, putting themselves to the test with manual work and being all outdoors together will be an unforgettable adventure!
You can indulge your imagination and create splendid colored garden houses , or simple huts using wood, pipes, pallets and other materials. But if your manual skills are limited, you can also create nice shelters and hiding places for children in the garden  using easily available materials such as branches, sticks, old sheets or tablecloths.
