DIY hanging fabric storage

When you have a small child and the objects around the house multiply more and more every day, one of the things that are most convenient are the fabric storage to hang.
I have always found them very useful: not only do they serve to keep things in order and organize, but also to “throw” everything in case you are in a hurry or you do not have much desire to put everything around in place.

The first fabric object holder I sewn was not the end of the world, but despite everything it has always been very convenient for me. I kept it near the changing table so that I always had hygiene products such as cream, bath and cleansing oil, toothbrushes and so on at hand.

Making a storage panel for children is not extremely difficult but you still need to know how to sew or at least have the will to do it (otherwise the mother, mother-in-law or dear auntie, can give you a hand).

To give you some examples, here are some fabric storage to hang. Take a cue in case you want to make one.

Fabric and wood storage panel

This wall storage is really very nice and original!
In addition to being a beautiful piece of furniture, it is also comfortable and capacious. To create the large pockets you need to sew together five rectangles of fabric. The side edges must be longer and sewn rolled up to be able to insert the wooden support. Of course, to build it it will not be enough to know how to sew, but you will also need someone skilled with wood.

Storage compartments for toys

To make this cute storage you will need a medium-sized tent pole and cotton fabric in fantasy.
To make the pockets rather rigid, better sew the fabric double and with a reinforcing cloth.

Quilted storage panel

To overcome the problem of having to reinforce the fabric, there are already padded and quilted fabrics on the market and are just suitable for creating a hanging glove box. It can be customized with colorful or colorful themed apps like this.

Cross-stitch storage panel

By purchasing quilted fabric and aida canvas, you can sew this simple but delicious padded panel. The large pockets are embroidered with small angels. If you like you can look for some cross-stitch pattern for children to print.

Storage to hang on chairs

In case you do not have a suitable or free wall where to hang a storage panel, you can sew comfortable and nice pockets like these. They can be useful for storing everything and can be hung on chairs.

Crochet storage panel

If, on the other hand, you are good with crochet and you have aside some leftover colored balls, you can work a storage panel like this.
You will need: two wooden sticks (in this case they used two old knitting needles), a crochet panel for the back as long as you want and as wide as the wooden supports, three buttons to fix the panel support strips and two or three crochet pockets.

Inside the hanging glove boxes you can put a lot of things: from diaper change products to linen, from toys to detergents and perfumes for bathing. It all depends on the size of the pockets. And then let’s face it, these fabric panels with pockets are nice to see, they furnish and color anonymous corners and can be hung a bit everywhere: in the bedroom, in the bathroom, behind a door or even inside the door of a wardrobe in case you do not have space.
