DIY baptism favours: 5 cheap ideas

I don’t know if you’ve noticed, but wedding favor habits are changing.
In fact, there are more and more mothers who prefer to prepare wedding favors themselves to celebrate the arrival of their child, rather than going to buy them.

Let’s face it, the basic idea is to save money : as well as not being very personal, wedding favors bought are certainly expensive. But what pushes mothers to invest their time in creating homemade wedding favors is also the idea of personally preparing unique and original little gifts to give to friends and relatives.

Are you also thinking of preparing the favors for your little one’s baptism  by yourself ?
So here are some cheap and nice ideas from which to take inspiration and which you can create and customize to your liking.

Cheap DIY baptism favors with recycled materials

1 – Favor with glass jars

If you also want to make baptism favors like this one, all you have to do is set aside a lot of baby food jars (you can also get them from your friends with small children) and, after having cleaned them well, cover them with balloons and colorful ribbons.
Also get some wooden balls or jewelery beads to make the feet.

2 – Favor box with cardboard

If you like candy boxes, this idea is really recycled and super cheap because it’s made with  paper cardboard tubes for the home.

To make it, just model a piece of tube like a star (just fold it first on one side and then on the other. You can paint the outside and decorate it with ribbons and trimmings or with drawings.

3 – Favor with plastic bottles

Staying on the subject of sugared almond boxes , you can make your baptism favors like these!

They are made with the bottoms of  plastic bottles cut in such a way that they can be closed once the sugared almonds have been inserted. With some tulle disks you can then enclose everything and have very colorful wedding favors.

4 – Favor with jeans clippings

If you have some old pair of jeans that you no longer wear, they can come in handy for making these super cute wedding favors.

I made them decorating the cap of glass jars with small strips of jeans.

5 – Wedding favor with scraps of fabric

If, on the other hand, you have leftovers of fabric , preferably in felt, how about making little shoe-shaped favors ?

Just cut the fabric according to the pattern you find in the tutorial and sew with buttonhole stitch. They are easy and you don’t need to be an expert in sewing.

Have you decided which one is right for you? Think about it, but then get busy and don’t wait for the last minute (advice from those who have already been there 😉 )

Good party favors!
