Childbirth

Difficult birth: overcoming the trauma with Ericksonian hypnosis.

“ I am so afraid of childbirth that I give up another child… can hypnosis help me?” , Laura asked me in tears as she entered the studio.

Laura’s story is unfortunately similar to many others. Her first delivery was long and difficult . In some moments she feared for herself and for the child and her medical personnel were not always able to respect the intimacy of such a delicate moment and to welcome her fears and difficulties. She feels guilty because many other mothers dreamily talk about their first hug with the baby, but she was too ill to rejoice. So bad that she copes with difficulty the first few days at home and gives up breastfeeding early.

Childbirth can be a very difficult experience to overcome, even traumatic. In this specific case, Laura’s experiences are so intense as to prevent her from serenely thinking about another pregnancy, which she too wishes and on which her husband insists.

Ericksonian hypnosis allows you to rework problematic or traumatic experiences in order to be able to close the suspended ones and be able to dedicate yourself to being parents of the born child and over time be able to think serenely about other pregnancies.

Talking a lot and a good sexual understanding are the necessary ingredients for a good couple relationship and in some cases they are lacking after the birth of a child.

80% of women struggle to recover their sexuality and intimacy with their partner after giving birth. The more complicated the birth, the greater the difficulties tend to be.

Hypnosis can be used to overcome difficulties that prevent the full enjoyment of sexual experiences : eg. pain during intercourse, difficulty initiating or letting go of intercourse, reduced sex drive. Furthermore, with hypnosis dialogue is improved by refining the ability to use language to produce change and to read the emotional state of the other. On all these themes it is possible to structure paths both for couples and for individuals.
