Brilliant DIY solutions for organizing children’s toys
Even though it’s been years, the memory of me tripping over stuffed animals, slipping on legos or stepping on a rattle is still vivid in my mind and I’m willing to bet that it is a bit like this for all mothers.
In fact, when you have children, especially if they are small, it is normal for toys to be scattered almost everywhere, so much so that it almost becomes a mission to devise solutions to keep them in order and put them back as quickly as possible.
How to organize children’s toys
I remember that, in addition to sewing useful storage boxes to hang on the wall and behind doors, I kept the box open for months even when it was no longer needed as a box. For me it became a huge container in which to “throw” puppets, toys and cuddly toys and tidy up as quickly as possible.
Luckily for you, however, today I show you the cutest ideas for organizing children’s toys in my playpen. They are all DIY solutions that are useful, creative and simple to make. Here’s how you can do it.
With a suspended tulle
If you want to keep the thousand thousand soft toys that children have in their bedroom in order in a nice way , you can create a sort of binder made with a tulle sheet. Two hooks fixed to the wall and a nice bow on the sides will hold everything up. I recommend this idea especially for those who don’t have much space in the room and want to take advantage of an otherwise unused top corner.
With cloth baskets scattered everywhere
The baskets are the ideal solution for keeping the games in order. Taking advantage of fabrics that you may have at home, it is possible to sew many practical fabric baskets to keep in all corners. Following the tutorial you will learn how to sew one by yourself.
With baskets fixed under the table
To take advantage of an otherwise unused part of the room, here’s a nice idea to keep small toys such as lego, toy cars, clothes and accessories for dolls, puzzle pieces and so on, close at hand and quickly put away. These are DIY fabric baskets sewn by machine and fixed under the table.
With wooden boxes
If you don’t have the budget to spend on buying a dresser to put toys in, you can build your own with a simple wooden box . Sand the wood well, paint it if you like, and fix four wheels underneath. You can also put a padded lid on if you want. In addition to being a movable container, it will also become a comfortable seat.
With plastic baskets
There are many types of multipurpose plastic baskets on the market . Buy some and use them as containers for toys, better if you can catalog them and put them in order and in plain sight.
With shelves
Shelves are the classic solution for storing books, dolls and toys. What you see, however, is not the classic wooden shelf, but a very original fabric shelf . To do it, all you need are two wooden poles, two hooks for curtains fixed to the wall and a rectangle of fabric that you can match with the curtains, cushions or with the covering of the seats in the bedroom.
With bed pockets
Here’s a super cute solution to hold everything kids want to keep close – books, teddy bears, gaming devices – when they go to bed. It’s a convenient fabric organizer that’s quick and easy to make that fits between your mattress and bed frame. It can be made with the fabric and the size you want.
Even if, as I imagine, you already have your own practical solutions for tidying up at home, I’m sure you won’t mind some of these ideas for organizing children’s toys .
