Belly Ceremony? No problem with Envie de Fraise

The first time I attended a ceremony with a big belly, eight long years ago, it was nothing less than my wedding: few guests, an already bulky belly from the sixth month forwarded, but the need to feel beautiful without having to resort to a change of clothes for the inconvenience. In that case the choice fell on a beautiful empire style pearl gray dress, but since I didn’t know anything about maternity fashion at the time, I had to go to the seamstress for countless adjustments on the belly and breasts. The result? The dress that was supposed to go down to her feet barely covered her ankles.

Now, on my fourth pregnancy, I’m definitely more savvy about looks and I’ve learned this rule. Even if you decide not to use maternity clothing in your everyday look, you really can’t do without it for the ceremony. Only a maternity dress will in fact be able to adapt to the largest of bumps while maintaining its elegance and its peculiar design without fail.

The fateful invitation has also arrived for me and I admit that my first thought was “what should I wear?”, considering that I am in my ninth month and that both my belly and my breasts have risen in recent weeks. Among other things, I’m one of those mothers who adore their body during pregnancy and who think it’s even more important, right now, to give it the right emphasis. But the doubts I once had today I no longer have: if there is a ceremony with a baby bump to face, you choose the maternity and possibly the most beautiful! That’s why I chose the Envie de Fraise collection .

In the section of the Envie de Fraises website you can find many proposals for maternity wedding dresses, among which it will be impossible not to see what seems really designed for you! In my case, as mentioned, I love the empire style, so my choice fell on a magnificent green dress, a color that I adore and that matches my fair skin.

As you can see, the dress is very simple, but endowed with innate elegance, in pure Envie de Fraise style : floor-length (I can even wear my beloved heels!), it lies pleasantly on the stomach and hips without marking the figure too much , so it looks great on both skinny and roundish women. A very important detail? The wide straps, which allow you to wear a bra: those like me who find themselves pregnant with large breasts will thank you!

The beauty of this dress also lies in the fact that it is perfect for a ceremony, but also excellent to accompany you during the summer days and evenings; and the empire style is fantastic with a bump, but beautiful without it too. That’s why I advise you to buy your usual size (the one worn before pregnancy), unless you have really gained a lot of kilos: in this way a purchase that is already convenient in itself will turn into a valid ally even when you are no longer waiting sweetly.

And for one last style tip, discover here the Romaine Envie de Fraise dress ,  very similar in style to the one I’m wearing in the photo but with a bright color, chosen by many celebrities and perfect for all your summer occasions and ceremonies!
