Alternatives to cow’s milk for children

Breast milk is undoubtedly the most specific food for a newborn and contains all those substances necessary for growth that can be found so perfectly in no other food. When you stop breastfeeding,   after one year of age, what are the alternatives to cow’s milk or growing up milk ?

We have a wide choice of tea, a juice, a juice or a vegetable drink such as soy, almonds, oats, rice and kamut.
They are foods that do not have the contraindications of milk and protect against childhood obesity.
They can therefore be consumed without problems.

How does he assimilate calcium if he doesn’t drink milk?

Dear mothers, there are substances in cow’s milk that slow down its assimilation.

For example, soy milk is rich in firming proteins. It has a composition very similar to that of animal origin. It has an excellent iron content (40 mg/l), four times higher than that found in cow’s milk.

Then there is kamut milk which is low in fat and rich in carbohydrates and mineral salts, especially magnesium.

Oat milk, on the other hand, does not contain cholesterol.

Rice milk is very important because it can replace mother’s milk in any case this is not there, from the first month of life.

Almond milk is rich in polyunsaturated fatty acids, antioxidant substances, calcium, magnesium, fiber and vitamin E.

Why choose a vegetable milk instead of an animal one?

1) Animal milk causes mucus to accumulate in the body. I strongly advise against it in case of a child or adult with a cough, cold, leucorrhoea.

2) Cow’s milk is NOT the only source of CALCIUM .

Studies have shown that countries where dairy consumption is high have a high incidence of osteoporosis.

First of all, eat more fruit and vegetables.
